VOOM! is a monthly volunteer program that will broaden your awareness of volunteer needs in our community while providing an opportunity to learn about a variety of organizations and options where you can make a difference.

VOOM! is a tour de volunteering – providing help to those in need around our community. Each month a new opportunity and activity will be featured.

VOOM! gives volunteers a chance to provide assistance to those in need and positively impact the Pittsburgh area.

VOOM! is a group activity – sign up solo or bring some friends!

May: Flags for Jewish Veterans

Sunday, May 21, 2017 – Join us to honor our deceased veterans by planting flags at their graves just in time for Memorial Day Weekend. We will meet at Shaare Torah Cemetery at 10:30 am to begin and volunteers of all ages are welcome.

June: Adopt A Highway Road Cleanup

Sunday, June 4, 2017 – Join us for our June VOOM and help keep Pennsylvania beautiful! The Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh Volunteer Center has officially adopted a stretch of highway along Cochran Road.

June: Nine Mile Run Watershed Association

Wednesday, June 14, 2017 – Join us as we partner with 9 Mile Run Watershed Association for a stream cleanup in Frick Park.
