Be a Middle School Mentor

When you drop in, fewer kids drop out.

Share your knowledge, time and work experience with a kid and you’ll both gain something important along the way. Join the biggest mentoring project in the region’s history and show our local kids that anything’s possible when they know the education and career opportunities that await. To sign up for this amazing opportunity, click HERE or you can attend our information session on August 9th by clicking HERE!

Free Tax Prep

In just three hours a week, you can make a measurable difference in someone’s life, deliver substantial economic benefits to Allegheny County, and gain useful and valuable new skills! Volunteers are needed to assist low-income individuals and families in Allegheny County with the preparation of their tax returns. Your efforts could help these families qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit, which would enable them to get their tax refunds and help put food on the table, pay off debt, make rent or mortgage payments, and pay for heat and electricity during Pittsburgh’s winter months. Open Your Heart to a Senior

Volunteer support and assistance is needed now more than ever as the Pittsburgh region’s elderly population continues to grow. Your involvement will mean more senior citizens are able to remain safe and independent in their own homes. Participating in Open Your Heart to a Senior is simple, fun and, above all else, meaningful. Volunteer opportunities vary widely, are appropriate for individuals as well as families, and can usually work around your availability. To get involved you can contact Haley Chizever or sign up for this amazing opportunity directly by clicking HERE.
