UPMC Canterbury Place is looking for volunteers to work in their gift shop. The gift shop offers residents and staff the opportunity to shop on site which is particularly important for residents who are not able to leave the facility. Residents who are not able to shop in a traditional setting love having the opportunity to spend real or prize money and a friendly gift shop attendant helps to brighten their day. The giftshop is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 2pm-4pm and Friday 10am-4pm. Volunteers are asked to work for a minimum of 2 hour shifts within the given timeframe, but they are flexible to work with various schedules.
All volunteers will need a Criminal Background and TB Test, both paid for by the facility, and must be 18 or older. The TB test is administered by the facility and instructions for the criminal background check are provided upon acceptance as a volunteer.
