Higher Achievement is a rigorous after school and summer academic program which aims to close the opportunity gap for middle school youth in at-risk communities. The program runs on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30-7:30pm. They are seeking volunteers to mentor middle school students for one of those evenings, volunteers choice, on a consistent weekly basis. The time is broken into two sections with the first hour being devoted to mentorship. In the last half hour mentors meet in the mentor lounge to debrief, reflect, as questions, and share advice.
**Note: There are multiple orientations offered throughout the year, but attendance at one is required. Act 33 and 34 clearances are required and are free for volunteers.
