Circles Pittsburgh aims to inspire and equip Pittsburgh area families and communities to resolve poverty and thrive. It is a nationally-known, proven, and innovative way of connecting people across socioeconomic lines in an effort to move people & families out of poverty through mentorship and weekly meeting. Volunteers are needed for two distinct opportunities.
They are looking for individuals in babysitting at the meetings. Volunteers meet at Eastminster Presbyterian Church (205 N. Highland Avenue) every Tuesday from 6:00-8:00pm. All volunteers must complete their Child Abuse History Clearance which is free for volunteers.
They also need individuals to prepare meals to be served at the weekly meetings. Each meeting serves between 20-40 people dinner prior to the mentoring program. Volunteers meet at the Repair the World Workshop (6022 Broad Street) every Tuesday from 4:00-5:30pm to cook at EECM and then deliver the meal to the Eastminster Presbyterian Church for the meeting.
Please comment with which opportunity you're interested in volunteering for.
