HEADSHOT: Lynn Snyderman

Lynn Snyderman

Volunteer Center Committee Chair

Lynn is a Pittsburgh native who currently serves as Staff Attorney for The Honorable Debra Todd of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Before entering the public sector in 2000, Lynn practiced law with the firms of Rosenzweig & Rosenzweig and Rothman Gordon. Before entering law school, Lynn served as a Legislative Aide for the late Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter in Washington, D.C.

Lynn’s involvement with the Volunteer Center began with her service on its original Steering Committee at the Center’s inception. She is a passionate and committed volunteer who believes that the Volunteer Center plays an essential, previously unfilled role in our community by connecting those who want to give back with those in need of a helping hand.

Lynn currently serves on the Board of Directors of Temple Sinai and of the Jewish Assistance Fund. She previously served as Vice President of the Board of Hillel JUC, Chairman of the United Jewish Federation’s Cardozo Society, President of the Board of Jewish Family & Children’s Service, and as a member of the Boards of National Conference of Christians and Jews, the United Jewish Federation, the Jewish Healthcare Foundation, the Jewish National Fund, and the FISA Foundation.

Lynn is married to Lewis Hyman, an attorney and President of Hartwood Investments. They reside in Squirrel Hill and have three children: Jillian, a fourth year medical student, Hannah, a graduate student in counseling, and Jesse, a senior at the University of Pittsburgh.
